Hard to believe it's autumn!
Summer seems to be hanging around a bit longer than we expected. No problem, more beauty to behold and appreciate! I hope you will notice and take advantage of the many offerings that are happening in our parishes this month. From a new Bible Study to another gathering of "Holy Hops" - this time with theological as well as alcoholic content! And COTA's Diversity Committee is sponsoring a special 8:30am Mass this Sunday which will highlight the rich Viet Nameese culture of many of our parishioners! Fr John Vu will preach and preside. He is wonderful priest and a delightful servant of the Lord. Come, you heart will be touched!
All are welcome!
These events invite members from both parishes to come together for fellowship.

Today, October 4, is the Feast of St. Francis of Assissi, and there could not be a more fitting time for this prayer attributed to him:
Prayer for Peace
Lord, make me an instrument
of your peace:
where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy.
O divine Master,
grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console,
to be understood as to understand,
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
